Classroom Environment

My belief is that the classroom environment plays a major role in student achievement. A classroom should have a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment. It should be evident that the students are a part of the classroom environment. This allows for students to feel empowered in their learning. Below you will find examples of class charters where kids discuss and come up with how they want to feel in the classroom statements. You will also see examples of student created word walls. Cooperative learning is also a great way to increase student engagement across subject areas.
